Carhartt WIP is part of the WIP Trading AG. Our family-owned business group started as a licensee and European distributor of the US workwear manufacturer Carhartt in the early 1990s. Since then, it develops its own collections based on workwear originals.

Carhartt Work In Progress aims to continuously progress and evolve, without ever losing sight of its origins. Over the course of the past two decades, our business has developed organically, along with its customers, the culture that surrounds the brand, and its employees who have helped shape what Carhartt WIP is today.



As part of the retail team for the European region based in Paris, you will monitor the stock in store and in warehouse to maximize sales and support the team during the seasonal buying process constantly analyzing the retail business and providing feedback.
You will collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team to have synergetic launch, in-store merchandising, window display/visuals and with the marketing team to coordinate the image promotion with the retail selection.



Retail Merchandiser (m/f/x)


Your Responsibilities:

Sales analysis & reporting
  • Provide weekly, monthly and seasonal reports and provide analysis on business performance to propose action plan
  • Consolidate collection feedback
  • Collaboration and special projects sales analysis
Retail buying
  • Pre-buying analysis and seasonal feedback per region
  • Prepare seasonal assortment per region and per store
  • Elaborate sales forecast and delivery planning to stores, in relation with the marketing plan
Retail Merchandising & stock management
  • Manage the stores reorders and optimize stock allocation
  • Stock monitoring between the stores to optimize sales and sell through
  • Ensure optimal levels of inventory at warehouse level
  • Identify and propose new ideas to drive the business and improve stock monitoring
  • Follow up stock requests and transfers from stores per region
  • Tracking deliveries from the warehouse to the stores
  • Competitive analysis (trends, product offer, price positioning)

Your Profile:

  • Masters’s degree (Business school or Fashion institute)
  • Relevant experience in retail merchandising or buying in the fashion industry
  • Excellent MS Office knowledge, especially in Excel
  • Fluent in English, French and other languages are a plus
  • Very good communication and organization skills
  • Strong analytical, planning and forecasting skills
  • Adaptable, proactive and detail-oriented way of work
  • Passionate about the brand, with a strong sense of fashion and a good brand environment knowledge
